Your Digital Mental Health Companion

Somait's design is simple and clutter-free to avoid overstimulation. The exercises contained are intended to bring you back to the now and focus on basic things that are within your control, thereby letting you move through overwhelm and continue with your day.

A personal project that quickly became apparent would be useful for others in their mental health journey, the techniques used here have been integral to the founder, helping to ground and regulate during moments of high stress or overwhelm.

Currently only available in English, a Swedish language version is planned for Spring 2026.

Why does Somait exist?

Person by the sea (insert image)

Somait was created as a personal project in Stockholm and Skellefteå, Sweden, in September 2025. Whilst going through some quite intense trauma therapy and after several tough sessions which resulted in extremely overwhelming responses, a friend suggested that I compile a crisis plan to help to ground me and bring me back to the now. I began with a very simple version with some positive affirmations and a single page with the grounding technique. After showing it to a couple of friends, I quickly realised that this could be useful for others.

This was at a time where I was discovering somatic techniques, and had recently learned how simple body-based tools could reduce anxiety, panic, and emotional overload. I was researching sound therapy, vibration therapy, EMDR and similar techniques, and psychedelic therapy. Something “clicked”. What if there were something that could reassure, calm and ground a person during moments of high stress and over-stimulation, whilst also offering a supportive voice, all gathered together in a simple, easy-to-use and non-overwhelming package?

Somait grew from that foundation — a calm space to reconnect with yourself.
